Hi, it has been awhile since my last post. But lately i'm working hard on my animation. I just finished an assignement for skool. And the sketch you can see here is a moodboard of one of my characters for my one-minute animation. That's my current project where i'm working on... it will be finished on march 16. More info later on...

These drawings are more of an experiment. This time i focussed less on the cuteness or hotness of the girls (like i did earlier), but i focussed on the anatomy again. I was searching for a new style to emphasize the volumes. The poses where also a challenge, because of the special use of depth... The second last girl was just a warming up, in the 'old style'.

This is just a warming up sketch i did earlier on the evening...

Well, there's a movie i recommend if you want to study anatomy and movement. DOA, or 'Death or Alive'. This movie is full of anatomically great men and women and the moves that they preform are a great resource for your drawing skills. Mondaynight i drew till 5 o'clock in the morning. Studiing alot of fighting moves. Here are some results...

I wasn't really content of the female faces i drew lately. So i started studiing on that part. Here are the first results.

This is my pic of the day. Still working on the girls...

On 21 december 2006 i actually sold my first drawing! This is a caricature i made based on the parents of friends who live here in the building. They wanted a original gift for the holidays... I had alot of work with this one, because the caricature really has to look like the reference, but with alot of puzzling, studiing and sketches it worked out pretty well...
It's very intresting to study animated movies frame-by-frame. There is so much you can learn from it: Timing, character poses, facial expression, body language, etc...

These are more of sketches i made of the 'Dogs' of Jill Greenberg. I'm really content about the first one...
And this is my character for my one-minute movie i'm currently working on...

Hi There... the last two weeks i wasn't able to draw much, because i had some other schoolstuff to take care off. What you see here is a selection of drawings i did based upon the work of Jill Greenberg. These are some really excellent references! And i recommend it to anybody who wants to draw animals.
